Local officers honoured Goldfields-Esperance district officer, superintendent Daryl Gaunt with Senior Sergeant Richard Moore, Former Senior Constable Joanne Eather, First Class Constable Juanita (Nita) Ellis and Acting Detective Sergeant Ben Lucas.

Acting Detective Sergeant Ben Lucas joined WA Police on 17.12.2001. Ben served at Ballajura Police Station, East Metro Traffic and Major Crash. In February 2012 he was appointed Detective serving at Midland Detectives Office, Kensington Detectives Office and Sex Assault Squad. In 2014 he was transferred to Esperance Detectives Office. Former Senior Constable Joanne Eather joined WA Police on 10.01.20105. Joanne served at Clarkson Police Station and Esperance Police Station where Joanne served up until her resignation in 2016.

First Class Constable Juanita (Nita) Ellis joined WA Police on 07.05.2001. Juanita served as a Police Aide and Aboriginal Police Liaison Officer at Aboriginal Affairs, South Hedland Police station, Wyndham Police Station and Mullewa Police Station. Whilst at Mullewa Police Station in April 2009 she became a sworn officer and served at Newman Police Station, Gnowangerup Police Station and in 2014 was transferred to Esperance Police Station.

Sergeant James Reid joined WA Police on 30.11.1998. After James completed his Probationary period her served at Central Police Station, Perth police Station, Commercial Agents Unit, Newman Police Station and Telecommunications Intercept Unit.James was the OIC at: Balgo MPF (2 years 3 months), Gnowangerup Police Station (2 years 1 month) and transferred to Esperance on 8.9.2014.James is resigning from WA Police on 9 January 2017 after 18 years dedicated service and he, Heather and their four children are moving to Colac in southern Victoria on 27 December 2016. James will be a stay at home Dad, whilst Heather has a job at ANZ Bank.
